Commission is the share of the trip price that the platform keeps. The price the passenger pays and the amount you receive can differ. Start your calculations with what you receive.
Read what the offer says
The amount shown in the offer may already be what you'll receive, with commission subtracted. Read what the offer says before subtracting anything. If commission has already been taken out, don't subtract it again.

The calculation, step by step
- Price paid by the passenger: distinguish it from your share.
- Commission: check whether it has already been subtracted from the amount shown in the offer.
- Amount you receive: always use this amount in Radr's calculators, before car costs.
- Car cost: multiply your cost per mile by total miles, including pickup, and subtract that cost from what you receive.
Radr doesn't calculate percentage commissions or income taxes. The result after car costs depends on the costs you included.
An example
Imagine a trip where the passenger pays US$20.00, with an example commission of 25%. All figures in this example are fictional. The percentage doesn't represent any platform and isn't an earnings forecast.
After commission, you receive US$15.00. For a total route of 12 miles, including pickup, use a car cost of US$0.21/mi.
| Calculation | Formula | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Example commission | 20.00 × 25 ÷ 100 | US$5.00 |
| Amount you receive | 20.00 minus (20.00 × 25 ÷ 100) | US$15.00 |
| Car cost | 12 × 0.21 | US$2.52 |
| After car costs | 15.00 minus (12 × 0.21) | US$12.48 |
Fictional example figures and percentage. What is left hasn't had income taxes subtracted yet.
Each result uses the unrounded value. Money is rounded to six decimal places, then to two for display.
Use your own numbers
In Radr's earnings calculator, enter what you receive under “Offer amount”. Add the miles and minutes to pickup and for the trip, and your cost per mile under “I know the cost”.
To plan your week, use Weekly goal. The amount to receive that it shows is before car costs, with commission already subtracted. Read what is left from what the app pays you to bring together earnings and costs for the same period.
