How the math works

No tricks: six calculations.

  1. Per mile: the offer divided by the miles to the pickup and the trip.
  2. Per hour: the offer divided by the total time.
  3. Car cost: the cost per mile times the total miles. Profit: the offer minus that cost.
  4. Signal: each metric turns green from your green goal, red up to your red goal and yellow in between; the signal combines the two.
  5. Minimum amount: the larger of the car cost and what your goals ask for these miles and this time.
