How to set your weekly goal and see how much you need to earn

Start with the profit you want and add car costs to see how much you need to earn.

Reviewed 1 Nov 2026

Your weekly goal is the profit you want after vehicle costs. To see how much you need to earn, add the week's costs to your goal. Use your own numbers in Radr's Weekly goal calculator.

What earnings means

What you receive for rides, before vehicle costs is what the tool calls earnings. You still need to subtract car costs to see what is left.

The calculation doesn't include income taxes or platform commissions. Use the amount you receive without subtracting a commission again if it has already been taken out.

Choose how to count costs

Under “I know the cost”, enter your cost per km, including energy and fixed costs. The tool multiplies this value by your weekly km.

Under “Calculate with my costs”, enter consumption, energy price and car costs such as maintenance, insurance, loan payment or rent, and other costs. Follow the period shown for each field. The tool calculates weekly energy and the weekly share of fixed costs using the same days and km as your plan.

Count each cost once. If rent already includes insurance, leave insurance at zero. Don't enter energy again under “Other costs”.

The calculation, step by step

  1. Profit goal per week: choose how much you want left after vehicle costs.
  2. Days and km: enter workdays per week and km per day. Include the drive to passengers and work km without a passenger.
  3. Hours per day: count all working time, including waiting. Days times hours per day gives weekly hours.
  4. Earn per week: add your profit goal to the week's costs.
  5. Per day, per hour and per km: divide the weekly amount by days, weekly hours and weekly km, respectively.

An example

Imagine a profit goal of €600.00, with 5 days, 200 km per day and 8 hours per day. That's 5 × 200 = 1,000 km and 5 × 8 = 40 hours per week.

Under “Calculate with my costs”, choose a car you own with no loan payments, 6 L/100 km and fuel at €1.80 per litre. Each month, use €40 for maintenance, €60 for insurance and €30 for other costs. All remaining costs are zero.

Energy costs 6 ÷ 100 × 1.80 = €0.108000 per km, or €108.00 for the week. Fixed costs add up to 40 + 60 + 30 = €130.00 per month; the weekly share is 130 × 12 ÷ 52 = €30.00. Weekly costs are 108 + 30 = €138.00.

Earn per week600 + 138€738.00
Per day738 ÷ 5€147.60
Per hour738 ÷ 40€18.45/h
Per km738 ÷ 1,000€0.74/km
After vehicle costs738 minus 138€600.00

The goal, costs and results are fictional examples, with no earnings forecast or guarantee that you'll reach these amounts.

Watch out for rounded costs

In this example, the exact cost is 138 ÷ 1,000 = €0.138000/km. If you copy €0.14/km into “I know the cost”, the calculation uses 0.14 × 1,000 = €140.00 in costs. Required earnings change from €738.00 to €740.00.

Each result uses unrounded values. Displayed money is rounded to six decimal places, then to two. Multiplying the displayed per km amount by weekly km may therefore give a different weekly amount.

Use your own numbers

Open Weekly goal, choose how to count costs and enter your plan. If days, km, hours or costs change, redo the maths. The results show how much you need to earn with those numbers, without predicting what you'll receive.
